In honor of all firefighters and their families, we’ve put together special weekends of activities to show our appreciation.

•Hero Celebration March 14, 2010 Join us in Studio Nick for a red-hot celebration with special firefighter guests, live game shows and free pizza. Local fire departments will compete in a head-to-head battle. Come see who gets pied and who gets SLIMED!

•Antique Fire truck display Saturdays and Sundays Get up-close-and-personal with real life fire trucks. Encounter tall ladders, long hoses and all the tools used throughout the years to fight fires. Sponsored by Florida Antique Bucket Brigade.

•Support National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Every day Donate to this organization when you check in and you’ll receive your very own firefighter helmet.

•Fire Public Education Select Saturdays Stop, drop and roll! Learn about important fire safety tip with local firefighters. Experience a simulated fire drill in a portable safety house, sponsored by Kissimmee Fire Department. Plus, you’ll get the chance to take pictures in front of a big, red fire truck.

•Bucket Brigade Saturdays and Sundays Kids and parents compete to fill big buckets with water. The team that fills their bucket first wins! A competition wouldn’t be complete without a SLIME finale.

•Jell-O Eating Contest Saturdays and Sundays Get ready to compete! Join us for a red, white and blue Jell-O eating contest.

Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by CIGNA

Orlando Museum, Park & Gardens Discounts

A visit to some or Orlando’s premier museums, parks and gardens does not have to put a dent in your wallet. Save big by visiting these artistic attractions on certain days and times.

At the Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando admission is free on Mondays from 9:00AM-12 Noon. Guests are free to roam the 50-acres of foot paths and neatly trimmed gardens. Free admission excludes tour groups.

The Green Meadow Farm offers a printable coupon for $2.00 off general admission for up to six people.

The Orlando Museum of Art celebrates First Thursdays. Art food and music mix with regular museum exhibitions to complete this arts and culture experience. Blending art, music and multimedia, the famed Blue Man Group trio gives a riveting performance of experimentation and exploration. At the Sharp Aquos Theater at the Universal Orlando Resorts, audiences are dazzled with comedic and musical acts involving multimedia, science and technology.

Its signature blue face-painted performers will have paint flying to their instrumentation and percussive beats. Although the Blue Men don’t use body language or words in their performances, audiences gain a deeper understanding of communication through strong eye contact and small gestures. Featured in movie soundtracks and commercials, the Blue Man Group has ventured into the world of music production through CD releases of “Audio” and “The Complex.”
